Chris Marquardt just updated his list of Tips that will help you improve your photography!
A lot of people have asked for “the photography rules” – so here they are. Alright, just kidding. There are no firm rules in photography, and if anyone tells you the opposite, I’d like to have a talk with them. I have put together this list to either help you get a thought process started or to help get your creative juices flowing again. It’s a mixture of best practises and my very personal opinions. Nothing more and nothing less. This list is also split up into several categories to make navigation a bit easier for you. Oh, and there are not exactly 101 items in here, actually there are more like 54 65, but 101 sounded so much nicer. And 101 is the actual goal. I consider this work-in-progress, so expect this list to grow and finally reach the magic 101!
This is my personal favorite: “Read your camera’s manual. Quite different from what came with your microwave … “
Great list Chris … keep on going!

One of the things that I have had trouble with is that I have only had a film camera. I had to be so careful about what pictures I took and if I really wanted this or that in a photo. But recently my mother got me an early birthday present. A Nikon Coolpix P80 and I absolutley love it. I dont leave home without it, even if im going to get the mail, its on my wrist.
P.S. I love the zoom tidbit. I tried it and I definitley had ‘zoom withdrawl’
Yeah … zoom withdrawal is the PERFECT description!
I really like the comment of looking at the day with a new perspective, everyday. His comment was to take a look from a frogs perspective. This has inspired me to take a look at the world from my friend’s cat perspective.
LOL … I often wonder what my cat is thinking when she sits there staring intently at me. Now I’ll wonder what kind of photos she’d be taking.
