The American Poetry Review /Honickman First Book Prize in Poetry

Description

The annual American Poetry Review /Honickman First Book Prize offers publication of a book of poems, a $3,000 award, and distribution by Copper Canyon Press through Consortium.

Each year a distinguished poet is chosen to be the judge of the prize and write an introduction to the winning book. The purpose of the prize is to encourage excellence in poetry, and to provide a wide readership for a deserving first book of poems.

Description

The PEN/Faulkner Award is a national prize which honors the best published works of fiction by American citizens in a calendar year. Three judges are chosen annually by the Directors of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation to select five books from among the 200 to 300 works submitted.

Description

$1,000 award. A book of poems must be 48 pages or more and have a print run of 500 copies or more

Passaic County Community College is a publicly supported two-year college offering associate in arts and associate in science degree programs that lead to transfer to four-year colleges. Offering associate in applied science degrees and certificates in career specializations, the College provides more than forty degree and certificate programs to over 5,000 students. Student activities, cultural programming, and intercollegiate athletics provide students with a variety of extracurricular experiences.

Arts Council England is providing £30,000 over three years (£10,000 per year) for bursary awards for the winners of the Orange Award for New Writers.
