Are you looking for business advice that’s delivered in a refreshing and easy to digest way?
If you like your practical business advice served up with a side dish of humour, then this is the book for you. Tips to help you with your new and small business sit side by side with amusing anecdotes and zany asides. The author’s own business experience comes through clearly and makes his suggestions and observations about running your own business much more credible and easy to swallow than that of the usual business school guru. Well worth a read.
Freedom from Bosses Forever
While many traditional business books are written in a formal and academic style, Freedom from Bosses Forever takes you on a slightly different, yet equally valuable journey.Narrated by fictional fashionista Leonora Soculitherz (so-cool-it-hurts), Freedom from Bosses Forever is a satirical account of how one woman unearthed the bare essentials of ‘own business’ success while probing a government and big business conspiracy.
The book’s fictional characters, easy-to-follow storyline and concise narration provide the perfect platform for Tony Robinson OBE to share his personal business experiences with the reader.
If you’re a fan of business and political humour/satire, this book is an absolute MUST READ for you!
Likewise, if you’re just starting out in the world of business, the real-life tips contained within this book will be priceless.
Freedom from Bosses Forever is a rare find among the usual business books that people reach for when they want to get a potentially lucrative idea moving.
The late, great Global tech entrepreneur Stefan Topfer referred to it as “The funniest hard-hitting business book, that is absolutely full of business truth”. In fact, Topfer was so enamoured with the pearls of wisdom of the book’s fictional narrator (Soculitherz) that he gave her a monthly column in his well-known ‘SME Blog’ for many years.
As a special bonus, readers also get given links to the author’s favourite (and free) enterprise support websites – a virtual treasure trove of extra knowledge.
Having first appeared as ‘Stripping for Freedom’ in 2009, the version of this classic satire on sale through Amazon is the seventh improved revision. It is available in kindle, paperback and audio book forms.
Tony Robinson OBE tours the UK giving conference talks on ‘Why Freedom from Bosses Forever is best for business, life and HAPPINESS’.
Reviews from happy readers
I’ve discovered a rare treat. A business book that’s valuable and very funny too. When is the last time you read a business book that made you laugh out loud? Every month there seems to be scores of new books about different aspects of business. Very few focus on the special issues relating to running a business from home. And very, very few have ever made me laugh. This is an exception to the rule. ~~Dave Sumner-Smith is the former Programme Director of Home Business Network and The telegraph Business Club.
Can I sue for emotional stress? OK Tony I am most displeased with you – you shouldn’t have written such a funny book. Picture the scene – we are taking a family break down in Brighton and I have found a good deal at The Grand Hotel (swanky or what) One afternoon it is raining so I decide to have tea and a nice read in the lounge. I stupidly took ‘Stripping for Freedom’ (the forerunner of Freedom from Bosses Forever) with me and firstly had raised eyebrows from the waiter. Secondly and worst – I started laughing aloud so hard that it came out as a snort – v. embarrassing – other guests lowered their copies of the Telegraph and Wisden to look disapprovingly at me! Seriously it is so funny! ~~Tony.’ Eva Davies, Owner of The Electric Zone.
Laughing out loud. I’m really enjoying reading this. Indeed my snort of laughter woke up a few sleeping travellers on a Brighton to Victoria train when I read the part about looking good being simply a matter of how well you tuck in your bits! ~~Julie Stanford owns/designed ‘The Essential Business Guide’
