The sun never sets on a Bare Bones patch.
Beatrix Hellman has reunited with her Bare Bones sweetbutt friends from high school. Her isolated life in a mountaintop convent has ground to a sudden halt, her faith dashed against the rocks. She needs something else to believe in, and her old friends become her new family. But a sadistic cartel associate of the club has maimed one of the whores. Bee and the women put a bounty on Tony Tormenta’s head. And they think they know just the man for the job.
Zane “Sax” Saxonberg is back from a different sort of exile. He was banished by his club Prez brother Leo a decade ago to ride the interstates of America as a nomad. Haunting back road BDSM clubs, Sax has a willing submissive in every state. He returns to the Bare Bones’ backyard to help the women and to check on his nephew Harte. Instead he finds a fiery slave in Bee—part camp counselor, part nun, part Force-Me Queen.
Will Sax’s bold heroics renew Bee’s faith in the world? She finds control and strength in submitting to the virile bad boy biker. With each power exchange, she is brought closer to a fresh hope and conviction, but tracking down the brutal Tormenta also brings fresh danger as they close in on his mountaintop hideout.
Publisher’s Note: This is Book #5 in the Bare Bones MC series. This book is a stand-alone and can be read out of order, but the series is best read in order to gain the full experience. This is not your mother’s contemporary romance. Daring readers will encounter violence against women, Daddy Dom/rebel play, May/December age play, exhibitionism/voyeurism, spanking, your garden-variety bondage, very brief MM action, and a HEA. It is not for the faint of heart. It’s a full length novel of 66,000 words with no cliffhanger. Recommended 18+ due to mature content and possible triggers.
Here’s What Several Reviewers Had To Say:
Bee and Sax…wow…what a combo…the former “sister” and the nomad outcast made a perfect match in every way.
Of all the Bare Bones MC books, I think this one had some very intense and emotionally deep thoughts about what real committment was between not only a man and a woman, but among “brothers in arms” in an MC.
When Bee wants to hire the gorgeous but dangerous Sax to take out a piece of filth who has been terrorizing women (and specifically destroyed one of her friends) she gets way more than she bargained for. When they see something in each other, a recognition that they were soulmates and the need to become bonded in a Dom/sub relationship takes over their lives, it becomes a power struggle of epic proportions.
Aside from club business, lies being revealed and old enemies trying to bury the hatchet, Sax struggles with the truth about his own son as Bee “lets herself go”…both in turning her body and heart over to Sax as well as confiding her deepest, darkest secrets and desires to the man she will top from the bottom.
This one has all the grit and violence as the rest of the books in the series, but I was enamored with the intense love story and complex BDSM relationship between these two damaged but not broken people.
Another great addition to the series and best read after the first books to enhance the knowledge of previous characters and their roles in the story.
***** 5 ***** “safe in his arms and bound to him” stars

I was given this book for an honest review
I think by far this is the best book in the series Layla surpassed my wildest imagination with this MC. I loved Bee and Sax they were well developed and the relationship they had with the secondary characters was great.
After a call from Sax’s nephew Harte asking him to come deal with his dad who is the President of their MC. Sax has come back to town after being exiled as a nomad with the MC for years. He was exiled by his own brother for trumped up reasons no less.

Sax was getting bored with the nomad life style and the different subs in different cities. When he comes home he finds a fiery slave in Bee—part camp counselor, part nun, part Force Me Queen.

Beatrix” Bee” Hellman is a hang around for the Bare Bones MC. Well she hangs around with her sweetheart friends. Unlike her friends She has never had sex or a sex act with a mc member. She considers them her family. Her life has changed so much in the last few years. She had given up her study of religion and moved back to her hometown to buy a plant nursery. Bee puts off an air of innocence. Only her closest friends know she has a Dom and she is his submissive.
Zane “Sax” Saxonberg has been a nomadic for many years. He was banished from the Bare Bones MC clubhouse and put on nomad status by his younger brother and president of the mc, Leo. No one really knew why. They just knew he would no longer be there nor would he be their vice-president. Riding the highways was running thin on him. He is a Dom and needs his one. The many subs he had on the road was losing it’s appeal. He was feeling empty.
When Sax was called back by his nephew he wasn’t at all sure it was a good idea. But there was something that pulled at him to go. The first time he met Bee he was so glad he went with his gut.. Sax and Bee just connected. They both felt the pull. He saw the collar she wore and just didn’t care. He felt an excitement he hadn’t felt in years. Bee felt safe and at ease with Sax but she also felt a deep desire for him.
The Bare Bones MC is at a crossroads. All the members are losing their confidence in Leo. Their biggest war now is within the mc. Can they come together as a mc and bring back their unity?
Have Gun Will Travel is a great read. The fire smoldering between Sax and Bee is beyond words. The battle within the club to save themselves from their own and outside forces is a race to the end. The fallout and consequences are astounding. The secrets run deep.
Thank you for your hard work Layla Wolfe and great job.
