If you intend to sell your book and make money with it, you need to treat self-publishing like a business. You have to move from the role of being a book author to the role of being a business owner … and that business is publishing, with you as your first author. You can not start a business without enough capital to get your business running smoothly and being able to perform all the functions of a start-up business, especially marketing.
