Wonderfully thought out plot! I really enjoyed the book, and the surprises and twists. I would absolutely read more books like this. Was very refreshing to read an original and well told story. Would give the book 6 stars if I could. – Amazon Review
Detective Jewels Polten is one of the best at tracking down murderers, but something beyond her experience came to Edmond, Oklahoma. When the serial killer reaches out in a cryptic letter, it reveals a government conspiracy at the highest level. Will she be able to stop an Army experiment gone rogue?
Readers will appreciate the unique way this story unfolds, especially as they know more than most of the characters throughout the book. It is at once a chilling murder mystery and an unexpected tale of connection in the face of moral ambiguity. Young adult and adult readers with an interest in military thrillers will find themselves riveted by this compelling book. -Amazon Review
About the Author
Sheri Chapman loves life and laughing, but you couldn’t tell it by her stories. Although she writes historical romance, a lot of her work is suspense/thriller, supernatural, shape shifter, dark fiction, and a dab of horror.
Other professional experience for Sheri includes teaching in Missouri Public schools. She recently retired (2020) with thirty years of experience. Now she splits her time between writing, HR responsibilities, and working on her farmette. Sheri has chickens and a few Nigerian goats, but most of her non-writing time goes to raising exotic-colored fluffy Pomeranians. (She’s a licensed kennel.)
On the personal front, Sheri is the mother of four beautiful daughters. She and their father enjoy spending time with each other, family, and friends. Aside from reading and writing, Sheri loves animals and being outdoors. She likes going for walks, fishing, scuba diving, kayaking, playing games, and watching movies. She is a big Harry Potter fan.
For those interested in Sheri’s educational background, she received her bachelor’s degree and first master’s in special education from Missouri State University. Later, she pursued administration and got a second master’s and a specialist degree from Lindenwood University in educational leadership.
