The story has a solid beginning and I look forward to Ashta and her continuing journeys. Although I do hope she will eventually earn true freedom and happiness. I guess I will have to wait and see what happens. -Amazon Review

Sold into slavery to the kingdom of Tripsia, Ashta chooses to train to be a highly prized guard. A part of the White Lionesses. But she must give up any hope of love. All goes well until she is forced to travel with her charge to the Kingdom of Naankdoen. There she is confronted by her past and must make a decision. Will she give up her life and a chance at love? Or will she protect the ruler of the kingdom that enslaved her?
About the Author
Morena Stamm grew up in central Alberta as the third of four kids. She has her Bachelor of Communications degree from MacEwan University, in Edmonton, Alberta, in 2017. After graduating, she moved back to her home in rural Alberta so she could focus on her writing while completing her Masters in Intercultural and International Communication at Royal Roads University, in Victoria, B.C, in 2020.
She grew up reading every book she could get her hands on, for hours on end. This started her love for authors like Tamora Pierce, Rick Riordan, Scott Westerfield, Gail Carson Levine, and many countless more. These sparked her passion for the fantasy genre and sucked her into the endless world of fantasy and science fiction books, which she has yet to emerge from.
