Our pride is in our being:
Power in what we can be.
The desire is not glory
But to hear a difference in our name
Perhaps, there is more to our ego than meets the eye. Often refusing to hear its voice in the bid to belong, we may be overlooking the possibility that it could be the call of our desires—of what we wanted all along. A vision in the making, guiding our journey by setting expectations as ‘the next’ to achieve, like stepping stones.
However, not all steps result in victory, as we hope. This is when we brand ourselves as having lost, and ego takes a toll. But, perhaps there is a way through, and we can guide this very ego towards winning at every step of the way.
This book seeks to present that pathway using two perspectives: the Loser and the Winner.
About the Author
Born in Bangladesh, brought up in India, internationalised in Indonesia, began the climb in Malaysia and now revolutionised by Australia, my name is Riasat Zaman.
Throughout this journey, I have been blessed to come across a multitude of experiences in different contexts. I carried this forward in the commercial space across four different industries. I have come to realise that among all these scenarios lie a common factor of life striving to survive. In a world where transactions have become a form of language, I had also realised that we lose ourselves in what we claim to be a win or loss. Drawing upon a mindset I have come to learn, I wanted to share this insight, hoping it can help another feeling overwhelmed by their challenges.
