This novel offers a nice blend of teenage angst, jealousy, a compelling love interest, familial bonds, and significant personal growth. Oh yeah, and there’s magic and some humorous moments. This is nicely paced, with never a moment of boredom but it doesn’t feel forced. This is a darker Sabrina, not the sunshine version that I grew up with and there’s nothing that I would change about it. This story was very well done. – Amazon Review
My head becomes feverish; my knees buckle beneath me. In a way, this is even harder to believe than witchcraft. And yet, somehow it feels right, like a lock sliding into place. Jack Woods is my fate. I’m seventeen, and my soul has found its mate.
Eleanor O’Reilly came into her magic on her seventeenth birthday, just like every descendent in her family line; the problem was, no one ever told her she was a witch. Now, Eleanor must come to terms with her new identity, maintaining the guise of a student at Griggs Academy while studying grimoires in the evening by candlelight. But when fellow witches from her Salem coven go missing, it’s up to Eleanor and her feline familiar to find out who is responsible before another witch disappears, or worse.
Burned is a thrilling tale of wit, whimsy, and witchcraft that will grip you from beginning to end as you master the five branches of magic, experience a romance written in the stars, and unveil a plot going all the way back to the Salem Witch Trials of 1692.
