About the author:
Jason is a father of twin boys and a retired police SWAT officer who holds a BA from SUNY Empire State College. He now works at a non-profit helping families that have been affected by domestic violence. He’s been instrumental in helping to bring recognition to the plight of first responders dealing with PTSD.
Jason has always been devoted to helping those in crisis. When the Covid 19 pandemic began sweeping the Nation, he recognized the stress it was causing adults and realized how it was also a source of anxiety for children who are having to adjust to all of the changes.
Seeing a need he came up with a tool that parents and caregivers could use to help facilitate discussion with children about the pandemic with the goal of aiding in their understanding of the situation and ultimately helping ease anxieties they may be having. Through this need the character in the book, Cammie, was born.
