About the Author
Janet Peters was born and raised in Los Angeles, California close to the ocean where she loved surfing the waves by the time she hit her teens. Her main interests were reading, writing and art, and painted a yucca in oils when she was 8 yrs. old. Eventually, she graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu with a major in English and minor in Art, and enjoyed teaching for Los Angeles City School for many years. She and her architect husband, Clint, and their 3 children decided to leave the sea and move to a mountainous area, Salt Lake City where they lived directly under majestic peaks and loved watching the changing hues of each season.
After her husband became ill, she opened a tutoring center, which she directed and ran for 15 years, and taught adults art in the evenings and the weekends. Students’ who didn’t believe they had an ounce of talent, but came to believe that everyone is imbued with creativity.
Today Janet is enjoying her Grandchildren, finishing up a novel and a novella, plus painting. She fervently believes that every day is a gift, and creativity keeps us young and buoyant.
