This novel is incredibly well-written and thought out. I was impressing with the worldbuilding and the characters. I would recommend this novel to any fantasy fan without hesitation. I didn’t want to put it down. 🙂
The life of one teenage half-elf is anything but blissful—stripped from two lives, four parents, and even her supposed innate elfin elemental prowess, Syreene has been subdued to the title ‘danger-prone damsel in distress.’ But the young elf has had enough of her defenseless nature. She promises herself to find a balance between vengeance for her twice murdered parents and becoming strong enough to support herself.
But in her quest of solidifying her strength, her overprotective brother Cabil, a high ranked militant, barricades any possibility of training. And, it seems, this stump in her path is the least of her worries…
A series of tides begin to mount into a wall forbidding passage to warrior-hood, and the once mundane life of a schoolgirl turns dark when her race begins to gradually disappear. The elfin race, comparable to the demonic and human, fell scarce in her moderately safe district, which triggered a domino effect that leads Syreene to a terrible discovery of her past. Accompanied by her pyro-wielding older brother and a reputable sword-wielding priest, how will the brainy student tackle these threatening tides?
