About the Author

Teresa Blackburn As a mother of two and a pre-school teacher, I wanted to write a book with specific, easy to understand messages to accept and appreciate who you are . It’s a message that isn’t preached enough. My goal is to make sure the children that read my books , leave the story confident and satisfied with their identity.

Edwin the Elephant for example travels through the jungle wondering why he isn’t good enough , he meets animals to which he believes are held to a higher standard then he ,only to realize that they are not happy themselves. Edwin finds his worth by the end of the story. But just like Edwin , I want my children and other children,as they go out into society, to stand firm in who they are , and fall in love with themselves .
