Faithful Nomad:
Finding Your Path…
When There’s No Destination
A book for those who are always curious, up for adventure, and looking for what it’s all about.
“È come essere schiaffeggiato nel buio,” which means “It’s like being slapped in the dark.”
It’s happened to all of us. Some things we choose to have in our lives, and some things we don’t. Through 24 countries, 18 years in advertising, officiating four weddings, chronic illness, birth and death and all the other everyday things, this book is about the art and practice of self-trust.
Finding joy in the journey may be a predisposition, but trusting the journey is a practice that can be learned. This book takes you through seven steps that prove how stripping away everything familiar leaves you with nothing but yourself – and why that’s the journey that matters the most.
“A wonderful book, with great lessons and stories to take pride in where you’ve been.“ – Becky Blanton, TED Global Speaker
About the Author
By day, Lisa Szkatulski is a Director of Strategic Planning in Advertising. By night, she’s a nomad, mapping her next adventure, which can include officiating weddings, charming border guards, or teaching her niece and nephew how to say cheers in different languages.
She gets teased for being relentlessly optimistic and inclusive, but it’s only because she doesn’t want anyone to miss out on the passion within themselves.
At the time of publishing her first book, she’s not sure where she’s going to be living next. She’s slept on couches, hitchhiked, or otherwise wandered 24 countries; and is eternally grateful to know that her many homes are where the proverbial heart is.
