About the Author
My name is Nate James and I have dedicated much of my life to the service of God’s people. In FIGHT FOR IT FINANCIAL, I share insights learned through my own unique experiences that are sure to catch and hold the reader’s attention.
I’m currently employed as a police officer in a large city. I have served overseas in the United States Marine Corps as a field radio operator. My responsibilities included guarding and transporting the Battalion Commander’s prestigious platoon. I took this responsibility seriously and, over time, became a highly skilled communicator. I further honed my communication skills through eight years of marriage and writing hundreds of police reports. I’ve learned what style of writing successfully reaches judges, juries and others in the courtroom.
During my police career I’ve been awarded the following:
- Four Officer of the Month Awards
–One of which includes responding to an active shooter situation, and another for successfully performing life saving measures on an unresponsive person - Eleven divisional/departmental commendations
- Eight Unit Merit Awards
- Two Positive Summary Administrative Action Reports
- Three letters of appreciation from civilians whose lives I impacted in a positive way
Another example of my dedication to duty and service was written by my direct supervisor regarding a shootout between members of my police unit and local gang members. “Officer James rushed to the aid of his fellow officers and engaged a subject in gunfire. Officer James did not hesitate to assist his fellow officers in a chaotic and dangerous situation.”
Incidents like these instantly places my work on a platform with other police officers and citizens, who enjoy learning about the reality of police work.
FIGHT FOR IT FINANCIAL also touches on personal experiences that have shaped my approach to money management. Growing up, I’ve seen firsthand the result of living paycheck to paycheck. I was determined this would not happen to my family and I hope to help other families find this same resolve.
Besides my unique experiences, my noble wife and I lead by example and are completely debt free. We own a gorgeous house, two vehicles, numerous assets, a pension, and a well-funded investment portfolio.
I am happily married to my beautiful wife and together we have three amazing children.
