Working as a doctor in the NHS, I see people on a daily basis whose lives could be significantly improved with a few small lifestyle changes. I realised that I could put together a few simple concepts- nutrition, sleep and movement and give people the inspiration to make lasting changes in their lives.
I cover factors such as motivation and habits in order for people to really feel confident to make changes to their lifestyle.
There are sections on nutrition, sleep and mental well-being. I discuss bone and muscle health as well as the benefits of regular movement.
This is designed to be useful for all abilities from those who have limited movement to those who are already exercising regularly. I wrote this book with the aim that it will appeal to people of any age and any ability.
As a doctor I want to empower people to make the best of their health whatever their age and to live as healthily as possible for as long as possible.
My aim is to get the whole population making small changes to their lifestyles and noticing big improvements to their health as a result.
