I AM NOT MY PAST

I pray my story helps men and women all over the world to believe that anything is possible. Just because you come from poverty doesn’t mean you have to continue to live in poverty. Trust and believe that you are more than your surroundings, for it’s not how we start, but how we finish.

My name is Justin Payne and I was born on the coast of Mississippi by the Gulf of Mexico. Enduring the pain of poverty made me relentless in my pursuit of the American Dream. Although I made mistakes, my past does not define the man I am today. For it’s not how we start, but how we finish. My mother was a hardworking woman in the shipyard for over thirty years, but with four kids without the proper support from a man the Salvation Army and Daily Bread was routinely visited by me and my siblings.

You see I come from humble beginnings, but today I have multiple college degrees, and numerous certifications allowing me to instruct on a college level. For I am not my past, I strive to be a blessing to all I may encounter on my journey. So to you the reader, I welcome you to join me on a trip down memory lane, and experience the raw uncut truth on how I became the author you see today. May God Bless You All!!!
