If You Ever Lose Hope… a book that resurrects hope and inspiration. We need more books like this. – Sherry Reiter, PhD, LCSW, PTR-M/S, The Museletter
How can you regain hope after you’ve lost it?
The Survivors know. And in this beautifully illustrated, inspirational story, they share their wisdom.
One day, a young girl loses hope.
Darkness overwhelms her.
Injustice storms in, thundering, “What has been will always be!”
Sorrow vows, in a voice as quiet as tears that drown, “I will never leave you.”
Fear stakes its claim as it whispers, “Mine. Mine. Mine.”
But there are other voices, too. Other words. Gifts from the Survivors.
The Survivors—those who have been beaten, broken, and silenced, and who have gone on to grow gardens and sing love songs—speak to her one by one. “If you ever lose hope . . .” they counsel. She listens. And what she learns will help her find her way back to light.
For ages 12 to 112.

About the Author
Jordana Chana Mayim is an author, illustrator, and world traveler. She’s also taught English to people from all around the globe. The different perspectives she’s been exposed to, as well as her reverence for nature, her abiding belief that love is our purpose, and her need to challenge society’s conception of normality, inform her writing. In her inspirational and philosophical illustrated books, she shares all the light that overcoming depression taught her how to see. Two of the most important things that she learned from her thirty-year struggle are that suffering is not a sickness and that healing and happiness are possible—and with the right help, they’re inevitable.
