As a girl dad, it is hard to find a book that captures the special relationship between a father and his daughter. This book perfectly exemplifies this. I love how the book shows Dad as a positive and active figure in which promotes the importance of his role as a parent. The book shows the father doing memorable activities with his baby girl and it was pleasing to see the things I have done personally as a father be manifested in a book; Don’t get to see that often. I value the author’s passion in showing this important, yet often forgotten role. – Two Thumbs Up!! -Amazon Review
Kai and the Daddyman do the Holidays
Kai and her Daddyman are at it again. In the third book of the Kai and the Daddyman series, Kai is learning about the holidays. The Easter Bunny sounds great…but the Daddyman forgot to mention how tall he was.
Halloween sounds good too…but Kai doesn’t like any of the Daddyman’s costume choices. Kai’s getting older but Daddyman is still her best friend and everyday is an adventure!
“The pictures are so vivid and energetic, and the text is quite simple to read out loud and follow allong. This book is sure to warm your heart.” -Brenda Maxwell, Goodreads
“Don’t miss this little story time gem! It is a sure winner with the kiddos.”-Marcella Gonzales, Indie Book Reviewers
About the Author
Michelle Person is a passionate educator with over 20 years of experience in education. While searching for books for her youngest daughter she was disappointed by her inability to find diverse, multicultural characters that her daughter, as well as the students she serves, could identify with. She began writing as a way to fill that void as well as capture the unique relationship between a father and his daughter. Michelle has written 6 books including the #1 best seller Nathaniel English in Leaders of the Revolution.
Her work took her into dozens of schools, meeting and coaching hundreds of teachers and parents. It became clear very quickly that the lack of diversity was an issue not only in literacy but across all content areas in elementary education. Her company, Just Like Me Presents, is a multimedia production and development company whose goal is to increase access to culturally reflective teaching materials available to parents, teachers, and community organizations.
Michelle graduated from Skidmore College with Bachelor of Arts in psychology and holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Capella University.
