About the Author
My name is John Common, also known as Jack Rainmaker, because I make it rain. I am more of a builder of businesses than an author. I decided to start writing, because I am really shocked at the lack of practical business advice available for entrepreneurs.
I see a lot of people who want to become an entrepreneur or go into business for themselves, but as a result of lack of priorities or lack of knowledge they don’t take action or whatever action they do take is misguided and ends up being miserable failure. I was raised in Europe started my first business if you will before I was 12 and came back to the United States, having been born here, when I was 21.
I spent 22 years living in Seattle Washington. The first 18 years in the advertising business with my own agencies. My colleagues would joke about me, “throw John in Lake Washington and he will come up with two accounts! :)”.
Being in the advertising agency business gave me a unique perspective on a multitude of different businesses. How they run, how they operate, form Timeshare companies, to, auto dealerships and retail jewelry stores all across the country.
In 1995 I built the world’s largest automotive warranty company to $400 Million a year with more than 1,200 employees on three continents.
I am a Lifelong Entrepreneur, I have built several multi-million dollar companies, have employed several thousands of people. All with no money, all large sales organizations.
I am an Innovator, Disruptor, Job Creator.
