“SURPRISED! This was not a quick lighthearted interracial romance. It was a deep story, complex and powerful. Honestly, it moved me to tears. I loved the cultures, your characters and the possibilities of hope and love. You made the choice to give us small details, and insert beautiful poetry, and different genres of music. That was a nice touch. I researched songs and entertainment I didn’t know. That was a great adventure discovering new music and movies I have enjoyed. I loved this book, from the beginning to the end, it was a page turner.” – W. C.
