Nacre is a poetry collection that takes the reader through generational traumas that bleeds into romantic and identity traumas that bleed into self-reclamation if only we allow ourselves to go inward.

When we pinpoint the hunger for external love down to its origin, starvation can grow into selective and foundational satiation from self and divine love.

Like an oyster shell and a pearl, the heart becomes a portal that transmutes all disturbances from the deep into something crystalline, pure, and valuable.

This may be my favorite poetry book I’ve ever read. The author has that rare ability to express universal truths in a unique way. The writing is such that much is left for interpretation but you get a hint at the author’s mind. These are the type of poems I’ll read over and over, rethinking on them again and again.
