In this short but pungent novella, Beasley spins his story with apropos street talk, describing the life journey of a character named 3 whose eventual transition into the role of a college educated welder curiously resembles the author’s life! Some aspects of 3’s story are more hinted than described, making the reading of this story even more interesting. ‘3 was also brilliant at playing dumb. A tactic he picked up in prison at the age 16…He understood life very well on all platforms. Whether it was the streets, prison, or just society itself. He wasn’t a fan of your typical society, and he dwelled in the underworld.
He believed the best teachings came from trial and error. Hard knocks was the best way to learn to be a man…In 2010 3 was released from Baltimore City Penitentiary…’ And 3 moves in with his sister in Canton, Ohio to start a new life. ‘3 was meeting people daily. He wasn’t no fool, and had a good judgment of character’ and we follow 3 through his life, meet the characters with whom he interacts, and follow him to his destination.

Eddie Beasley Jr. I’m very articulate when it comes to writing. Its equivalent to therapy and it helps me escape the harsh habitat I dwell in from day to day. Even though it can be a task I still enjoy writing novellas with a passion. Its like I get an adrenaline rush from expanding my imagination outside the box. Its helps me become a better visionary and idealist. Writing is a craft I wouldn’t trade for no other occupation or hobby.

My favorite part about writing is acting out the roles. Role playing is a major part in writing, in my opinion. It truly helped me develop my own individualistic style. Also, I love welding I graduate Stark State College majoring in Welding Technology.
