Rants + Ramblings On Life and Wellness:
A book of general wisdom on topics that make you think outside the box.
Overview: Rants and Ramblings is a launch pad for our truest conversations. The things we rarely talk about.
This series is a combination of whimsical to serious, from wellness to parenting, from gender to politics, and everything in between. It’s a compilation of hand-selected posts written over 3 years to get you reflecting on your own journey while standing in life’s mirror.
About the Author: Rants and Ramblings is a compilation of selected daily posts written from the perspective of North American (Canadian-born and resides in the US), Gen X, woman, who is also Black and in a committed interracial marriage, with her husband, and their two now teenage children. The author was inspired to write daily. Her focus was to reflect on the events in the news and in life that often edited out the voices of people like her and her family.
Detail: Stories in Rants and Ramblings engage the reader through the author’s observation of little things and differences that might not be noticed by others who are situated in a more homogeneous world. Over the years, the discussions and debates in the comments, affirmed that people were curious about her voice. By sharing, in what many say feels like reading her personal journal, readers and friends asked questions, disagreed, were shocked by some of the disparities, and felt human together.
The author’s mission in sharing has always been to chip away at the idea that you know anyone solely by the categories they fall in. If people knew how much we loved also, maybe the world would be a safer place for her children.

About the Author
Who is Delia Grenville?
As a creative person with an engineering background, I’ve learned that our best storytelling happens when we share our layers.
My Background
Delia Grenville was born to Guyanese-Canadian immigrants and spent my life into my teenage years growing up in the Montreal area. At the time, Montreal was both a financial and cultural center of Canada. Being immersed in second language, Caribbean enclaves, and watching as her parents master how to be new Canadians, influenced my ability to observe and absorb. Although I studied engineering in my formal education; I showed an early aptitude for writing and storytelling. Some things take time, so after settling down in life, career and family both on steady paths, it became possible to compile some of my ideas into an ebook series. I am so excited to share my work with all of you.
