As a fan of historical fiction, I was delighted to discover, thanks to this book, a hitherto unknown chapter of the Second World War: the Greek-Italian War, which took place between 1940 and 1941. I haven’t put this book down, from the first to the last page, because it has captivating action scenes set in idyllic settings and characters with strong personalities. – Reader Review
RESISTANCE: WAR-PASSION-GREECE-1941
An utterly heart-wrenching and gripping World War Two historical novel inspired by true events in 1941 Greece.
Bravery in battle, love held back, and dignity in the drama. This action-packed novel recounts in a scenography way, real episodes taking place on various sites, especially the island of Paxos, south of Corfu.
“Resistance” is a fictional history novel about Italy and Greece’s 1940-41 war. When Mussolini wanted to prove to Hitler that he was also capable of invading and conquering.
Like a modern-day autocrat, he had no idea of the courage of every Greek citizen, of whom the women were outstanding heroines. Their audacity in defiance of the invaders made them morally invincible.
Frank’s writing has a cinematic quality. Multiple characters have quick exchanges. A pure piece of writing with no embellishments, similar to a living event with rapid changes in circumstances. The heroes and heroines; youth, as well as the romantic scenography, harken back to the Grand Meaulnes. You will vibrate with them as their fate twirls in a cruel conflict, where their love for their nation renders them unstoppable. -Reader Review

Following that, I wrote a book on the post-apartheid instability in South Africa and the surrounding area and produced a CD-ROM about the history of the European Union.
