Charles R. Allen is an emerging Author and Traveler who is fluent in three languages, including English, Spanish, and Chinese. To date, he has authored numerous culturally-diverse books, such as “China Culture – More Than Chop Sticks”, “The US Border is Everywhere – whales, bananas and racial supremacy,” and “Spilled Beer.”
The humorous side of his work is a gag book titled “What to do on Day’s when there is no Sex.” The humor theme seems to be constant in all of his writings, but his writing can also turn into blunt sarcasm.
During much of his teenage years, Charles was detained in a juvenile institution, but it wasn’t long before his love of travel and passion for history changed the trajectory of his entire life.
Outside of the writing world, Charles has worn many hats, from a Child Abuse Investigator and Prison Social Worker to an English Teacher in China and Instructor at a U.S. community college in Arizona. He has also served in the U.S. Marine Corps (Vietnam). Furthermore, he holds two Master’s degrees: Cultural Anthropology and Social Work.
While he resides in California, Charles currently spends his time studying Spanish and writing from Nicaragua.
