Fascinating and heart warming from cover to cover as the author brings us deep into his life as a sports journalist. Garrett not only shines in his dedication to the craft, but also in making us see, hear, and even smell the locker rooms, fields and all the venues where you have to chase the story. This does to the craft of sports journalism what Stephen King’s “On Writing” did for fiction writing – a healthy mix of process along with the magnetic story of the author’s journey.
