The author did a great job of developing characters that felt like real people with real problems. The story is intelligent, well researched, and cleverly written. With supernatural components that had me double checking the locks at night, looking under my bed and in my closet, shadows took on a new meaning, leaving me questioning what really lurks in the dark. It has been a while since a book gave me crazy dreams but Suspect 21 did just that – Well done! I’m looking forward to reading whatever this author does next. -Amazon Review
It takes a perfect medium, to make a perfect revenge…And when that medium is controlled by an angry man’s ghost, imagine the evil it will unleash.
It’s a murder trial in Wood Green, London. An unnamed killer who hasn’t said a single word since her arrest is standing trial for multiple murders. But she isn’t the only one accused of the dreaded crime. A dead man has also been called to the stand as well. In what turns out to be the most controversial trial of all times, retired MPS Detective Katelyn Raspberry is invited to testify as a key witness in an alleged multiple “suicide” investigation that almost cost her life – And her testimony is all the court needs to acquit or convict a dead man of multiple murder.
Nine years ago when Iain Caskie died mysteriously, everyone thought it was suicide. Everyone but his killers. As sole heir to the Earl of Orkney, he had all the luxury life could offer. Money, friends, and the love of women, but his decision to give up all his inheritance and royal dynasty for a future with a commoner was the beginning of his ruin, and returning home one day to meet a heart-crushing scene tore him in pieces and made a demon of him.
Murdered by the same men who faked his suicide, he was left to roam with a restless spirit hungry for retribution and an angry, unforgiving soul trapped between the living and the dead, until nine years later when a young, Australian beauty accidentally sets him free. Still determined to revenge his own murder, he possesses her and goes on a nasty killing rampage. That’s when the mysterious sporadic deaths begun and rumours of a dark, vengeful demon luring people to an early grave start to spread.
When a Roman Catholic Priest dies mysteriously, retired Metro Police Detective Katelyn Raspberry gets a very strange request from the millionaire prime suspect. A bargain for a confession in exchange for independent representation. But she isn’t ready for the evil she is about to confront until she is caught-up right in the middle of a dark secret that was buried nine years ago. As the deaths grow sporadic, she realises she has to uncover the long forgotten truth about a dead man… or end up on the dead man’s death list herself – and that’s a testimony everyone wants to hear.
