I bought this book originally to read to my grandchild who is just beginning to enjoy chapter books, but I think adults will totally love it too. In fact, my grandson and I did not finish the book during his visit, but I continued to read after he left because I really wanted to know how the book was going to end. The positive themes of believing in oneself and not being intimidated by bullies make it a great book for young people of all ages. The book is also part mystery – why was Gabriel left in Harmony as a baby, what happened to his parents, will the good people triumph over people with evil plans and agendas, how will the book end? The story is also part fantasy adventure with talking animals, mermaids, and magic but in a very believable way. This book is a novel that will appeal to all ages. I hope there will be more books in this series, and soon! – Amazon Review
