The Goblin and the Empire
(The Dimension Arcana Book 2)
An alien incursion has been defeated by a rag-tag team of humans and faeries, but at a cost. Boston is in ruins, and Kelli has been left weakened and vulnerable in the Faery Realm.
Far to the south of Kelli’s kingdom, an ancient enemy calling himself the Goblin King is rising, intent on ending the young Sprite Queen’s reign before it can even begin. Her Birthright was created expressly to counter the Goblin King’s necromancy, but she still does not know how to use her own magic.
Existing allies face perils that threaten to splinter their support. Kelli’s human friend, a vigilante hero called The Hood, has found himself entangled with a magical being he cannot understand. The water elemental named Undine claims to be a friend, but her actions cast doubt at every turn, hampering The Hood’s ability to help Kelli face her deadliest trials yet.
The Hawaiian Dragon Bennett Kunali’i cannot help; his quest for answers about the Chek’than has taken him across the galaxy. His brother Devon should be able to handle almost any problem in the kingdom, but his fellow Dragons have other plans for him. And Strategic Sciences has been shattered from within, its paramilitary resources all but decimated and its elite troops on the run as fugitives.
New allies among the faeries must be found –the elves, dwarves, vampyres and others– but what happens when the humans begin exploring the Faery Realm, bringing their drones, automatic weapons and armored mechs into the world of magic?
