This was a great, original fantasy novel that had a lot of fresh ideas in it. The aspect of reawakening magic and monsters was definitely my favorite plot of this book. If you’re a fan of hardcore fantasy adventures or D&D-esque stories, you’ll enjoy reading through this first novel. Looking forward to the next in the series! – Amazon Review

James Pina is a lifelong wanderer of the Science Fiction and Fantasy aisles. After graduating from CSU Monterey Bay with a film degree, he pursued a career in visual effects compositing and has worked on many feature films, television shows and hundreds of commercials. James now works as the VFX Paint Lead at Laika Studios near Portland, Oregon. Husband to Carina, they lovingly parent three amazing kids and a poodle named Millie. He loves cooking dinner, and when his hands aren’t full, he enjoys playing guitar. James is a proud member of Round Valley Indian Tribes.
