About the Author
While earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in the late 90s, Kim Gallo worked alongside Certified Behavior Analysts teaching young toddlers newly diagnosed with autism.
She then earned Board Certification as an Associate Behavior Analyst.
In 2004, Kim earned a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. In 2005, she completed her fellowship and earned her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), thus becoming certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association. She has worked in various settings on multidisciplinary teams with the Early Intervention program, K-12 schools, and private practice with children and young adults. Kim is also the parent of two children, one of whom is a neurodivergent young adult.
Kim is a compassionate advocate who is devoted to continuing to learn about neurodiversity. In addition, she is passionate about spreading neurodiversity awareness and acceptance.
