I really enjoyed this inside view into Colombia! I’ve traveled there before but this gave new insight into the culture and lesser known areas. The plot itself was a delight— fun and easy to read, quite the page turner! Highly recommend to anyone planning on traveling to Colombia and for anyone looking for a quick but very interesting read! – Amazon Review
The Premonition
Embark on a wild adventure with the new novella by Flia Darro, The Premonition, now translated into English!
JP and Claudia live a quiet life in Miami. When they decide to take a vacation to their home country of Colombia, JP can’t seem to shake the feeling that something will go wrong on their trip. When Claudia goes missing, he realizes that his premonition was right. And that it’s up to him to rescue her from certain harm.
What follows is a fast-paced journey through the Colombian countryside and jungle. From trying to negotiate with potential kidnappers to stowing away in a truck full of pineapples, this trip-gone-wrong is both thriller and comedy, with a little romance to boot.
The Premonition is a must-read for anyone interested in delving into the lesser-known Colombian countryside, looking for a good belly laugh, and in need of a reminder that, sometimes, listening to your gut is not all its cut out to be.
About the Author
I am Flia Darro, the alter ego of a writer born in various countries, spanning several generations in age.
My primary activity is that of a collector – of experiences, of sensations, of life itself. At one time, I attempted to change the world, at another to conquer it, and yet at another to understand it. But ultimately, I found myself resigned to simply absorbing it all. Now, with no debts left to pay in my life, I am content to observe and contemplate the world around me.
Above all, I have a passion for storytelling to uncover the hidden narratives that lie behind every face, every tear, and every smile. As my favorite author, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, once said, “Life is what one remembers and how one remembers it to tell it.”
