About the Author
Marcee A Martin calls herself the “happiest author” on Planet Earth.
However, her journey to inner happiness was long, protracted, often complex, but fulfilling in the end.
In her late twenties, Marcee got tired of the emotional whirlpool she had been trapped in since her early teen years. She suffered from low self-esteem, chronic anxiety, non-existent self-confidence and a plethora of other emotional disorders.
In the peace of her room, she was racked with self-doubt, low energy, negative thoughts and feelings of inadequacy. Her romantic relationships all seemed to end the same way – in a cloud of emotional imbalance, suspicion, toxicity and unmatched energy. She dreaded social gatherings – every party and office meeting brought out the worst of her inner demons. She had ideas that she couldn’t vocalize out of fear. She hated the sound of her own voice in the presence of other people, and she always managed to say the wrong things.
On the brink of a total mental and emotional breakdown, Marcee decided to start a quest in search of true happiness and emotional balance. By her account, she read over 200 books (across several niches) the first year, watched more than 200+ videos, and attended many seminars and classes.
Eventually, the secrets of human relationships and psychology she unearthed transformed her life. The principles she found helped her to rebuild her relationship with herself, learn self-love and improve her communication skills with other people.
For the last 5 years, her new quest has been bringing other people closer to happiness through her books.
The pillars of her teachings revolve around:
-Mindfulness and meditation techniques for anxiety, depression and stress
-The importance of listening (and not just hearing)
-Ways to challenge and fix cognitive distortions
-The best ways to communicate even during difficult times
-New methods to shape and discuss with your inner critic
-CBT techniques for restoring emotional balance
-The importance of self-love, self-esteem and self-confidence
-How to deepen empathetic traits without becoming codependent
-Coaching to build conversational skills
-Learning to develop charisma and using witty banter to great effect
-Body language clues and how to read between the lines
Marcee believes everyone can communicate better if they know how to listen to others and read their body language.
In her words, “I was born shy but I have come to realize that with the right approach, anybody can become a great conversationalist and people’s magnet. My life mission is to teach that approach.”
Marcee lives in New York City with her best friend (husband), and two cats!
