I bought this book because it explains in simple words that a child could understand as to why a relative is different whether it’s a grandma or an uncle, cousin etc. I love the illustrations too. – Amazon Review
What’s Wrong with Grandma? is a children’s poem about a young girl whose grandmother has developed dementia. She is trying to understand what’s happening with her grandma and needs reassurance.
In time, comes to realize that she is still significant to her beloved grandma, despite the difficult changes in their relationship.
“My last living Aunt was diagnosed with dementia in January. Many of us have seen a significant decline within this short time period. When I read this book I immediately thought of my cousins’ children, many of whom are of the age to recognize & question what is wrong.
I wanted to share this book link with you, too in that my dearest friend, Michelle, & her sister, Bethany wrote this book focusing on their beloved Grandma.
Maybe someone close in your life or even extended “reach” would find this helpful in sharing.
Maybe consider donating a copy to your local school library and your local public library! ??
