This year I have read a lot of books by and about strong women and this is the latest. Where Love Abounds is a moving memoir from a woman of strong faith and resilience. From heartbreak and tears to laughter at life growing up in a big family, this book is a testament to making it through hardship with undying faith. As a military brat myself I can relate on many levels. Great read!
Where Love Abounds
From the biggest earthquake on U.S. soil, through the memories, dramas, and family legends of a life lived from Washington to Kentucky and from New York City to Germany. Looking back over five decades of life as daughter, wife, and mother, Barbara shares the tragedies that never seemed to end and traces the love and the grace of a God who wouldn’t give up on her ~ even when she tried to give up on Him.
Written as a memoir, Barbara’s story is one of heartache and blow after blow from a world determined to break her down, but it is also a story of hope ~ a story to remind us it is only through the love of God we are saved and only through His hand, and it is the story of her amazing family and their fun exploits around the world.
Barbara is so thankful for the family God gave her to grow up with, and for the wonderful memories she has of their times together. Her family’s love and faith are so much a part of Barbara’s story, giving her the foundation for the amazing, brave, and strong woman of faith she is today. She is strong enough with Jesus’ grace to share her story with the world.
About the Author
Barbara Peterson Wheeler, I have been a Christian for many years! Today I hope to be able to spread the joy and hope I find in Jesus with other people. My life has not been easy for sure. I have had to go through one hardship after another, but God’s grace ultimately pulled me through! I was blessed to be part of a big family – 5 brothers and 2 sisters along with a daddy who was a Pastor and a stay at home mom who loved making cookies and sewing.
I have worked in education for 20 years, all the way from elementary up through University. I really loved middle school the best! Those kids are finding themselves and learning who they are. I have a B.A. in Sociology and an M.Ed in Adult Education and Administration.
I have been a Type 1 Diabetic since 1972! Phew! I was also diagnosed with an immunity disorder in 2017 that left me with no immune system. I had to retire from working in the schools and now stay home and read and write! So proud to have my first book out and hoping you enjoy it!
