One of the biggest challenges for any book publisher is how to get their book reviewed. Some authors are so shy they are reluctant to ask even their friends or relatives for a review.
The reality is that book buyers are looking for reviews. They want some level of social proof that others have read and either liked the book or have found it to be of value.
The bottom line is that in order to make sales you MUST get your book reviewed. The more the better, but even five reviews can help.
Many authors think that they will take advantage of Amazon’s KDP program and offer their book for free. They imagine that the reviews will roll in and the problem will be solved. This couldn’t be further from the reality. The reality is, even if your book is FREE, you still have to “sell” it. And guess what? Part of making that sale is having good to great reviews. YES, people are reluctant to download a free book with no reviews.
The BOOK REVIEWERS DIRECTORY goes a long way to solving that problem. It is a database of over 500 review websites or blogs dedicated to book reviews. Some of the sites are run by one person, other sites have dozens of reviewers.
The Book Reviews Directory is set up by Genre. All you have to do is pick the Genre or Genres for your book and you will get a list of reviewers who are willing to read your book. Once you have found a list of reviewers, simply click on their listing where you will find a bit more information about their websites and their requirements. If you think your book is a fit, simply click through to their website … make sure their information has not changed, and then contact them via email or through their online form.
