Amazing world built for the reader. Something really immersive from the start. Truly feels like my mind or body is going thru a new experience in a book descriptive. I like how my imagination is left to fill gaps in scenery or characters. Well written and highly recommended. – Amazon Review
6060 Vision
In the year 6060, an explosion of biodiversity has created a volatile new world, teeming with rapidly evolving flora and fauna. An assignment goes awry for Sam, a biomechanical Golem, while they study the New Wilds. Now they are far away from home and infected with Silver, a disease that withers the mind and body. Tasked with returning their treasure trove of data, Sam must befriend New Peoples, survive the Silver Scourge, and stop the fanatical SAGE, all while learning how alive they truly are.
This is a fresh little book that was perfect as my morning “for fun” read with a cup of coffee. It’s a post humanity book with twists and a take I haven’t seen before with hyper competition in the animal kingdom and the rise of other sentients (trying not to give too much away). It very much was an enjoyable read with some great world building and I feel the author did a good job of showing us but not telling us everything as we explored this new world alongside the main character, Sam. Definitely room for further exploration which I love but also feels like it wrapped up this (possibly first) story arc well. Excited to see where it goes! But regardless would recommend. – Amazon Review
About the Author:
M. Soler grew up outside Seattle, Washington. They have been reading and writing deep into the worlds of fiction as soon as they could. This is M’s debut novel. Before this, they were tour guiding, picking blueberries, racing sailboats, painting houses, and filleting salmon.
Between early morning and late-night writing sessions, they still find time for bikes, friends, art, and, most importantly, their lovely partner.
M loves cats, weasels, raccoons, and dogs, in that order. They hope to keep science fiction strange, exploratory, and a little more queer.
