It is a cute book with the story told in rhyme and enhanced by colorful, engaging illustrations. I loved that there were fun facts about peas in the back of the book as I would not have thought there would be any; however, I found them to be very interesting! I also loved that there were what was called Super Words in the story which were defined in the back of the book. These words are a little advanced for the target audience of 5-9 year olds (per Amazon), but it gives them the opportunity to learn what these words mean. About the Author

J.L. McCreedy first discovered her love for writing (and developed an incurable condition of wanderlust) while growing up in Southeast Asia as a third-culture kid. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a law degree, freelances as a writer and consultant for charitable organizations and, whenever possible, drags her splendid husband along on ill-planned adventures.
