Saving Sophie

May 4, 2026 by Melanie Leave a Comment

Cate Beauman does it again, seriously this author is on my auto-buy list, never been disappointed in any books I have read of hers.

Stone McCabe is a gritty, brooding, sexy bodyguard who we met briefly in book 6 (Justice for Abby) and Sophie Burke is a cleaning lady at Ethan Cooke’s security offices, she’s in the job to escape the nightmare that she has left behind, trying to remain anonymous/hidden, this all changes when Abby becomes concerned and asks Stone to check on Sophie which he reluctantly does. I love the fact that our H/h don’t fall straight into bed, they fight their feelings which simmer as the story progresses, we are taken on a very well written journey where friends become lovers, the story flows at a great pace and the suspense keeps you turning the pages.   – Amazon Review

Eventually, he will find you…
Jewelry designer Sophie Burke has fled Maine for the anonymity of the big city. She’s starting over with a job she tolerates and a grungy motel room she calls home on the wrong side of town, but anything is better than the nightmare she left behind.

Stone McCabe is Ethan Cooke Security’s brooding bad boy more interested in keeping to himself than anything else—until the gorgeous blond with haunted violet eyes catches his attention late one rainy night.

Stone reluctantly gives Sophie a hand only to quickly realize that the shy beauty with the soft voice and pretty smile has something to hide. Tangled up in her secrets, Stone offers Sophie a solution that has the potential to free her from her problems once and for all—or jeopardize both of their lives.

This was a great read and I really enjoyed Sophie and Stone’s story. Now I’m going to go read the other books in this series. Simply love damsel in distress stories. I’m definitely adding Saving Sophie to my favorites list. -Amazon Review
