Fifty million dollars. Half of Thornhill Tower. And the man determined to drive her out.
Tessa Raye didn’t fight her way into Manhattan’s most ruthless high-rise—she inherited it. William Thornhill’s will left her a fortune and a seat at the very top. The catch? She has to share it with Cassian Wolfe.
Cassian has built his reputation on control, precision, and being untouchable. Now he’s forced to split power with the one woman who disrupts everything. He wants her gone. She refuses to back down.
Contracts can’t contain the battle between them. Boundaries blur. Tempers ignite. And in a tower where every floor hides a war, only one truth holds: It was never going to stay professional.
Perfect for readers who crave:
- Enemies-to-lovers tension (with the emphasis on enemies)
- Razor-sharp banter and corporate warfare
- High-rise glamour with claws beneath the glass
- Open-door spice
The Penthouse Trap is the first novella in the Fifty Floors Above Hate series.
For mature readers (18+).
The Penthouse Trap (Fifty Floors above Hate, Book 1), was a really good book. There was so much drama between the two: Tessa and Cassian from their first meeting until the gala. Nia Laurent is brilliant with her writings, I like how she gets your emotions involved. I went from being happy to crying to rooting for the underdog. She keeps you wondering what will happen next with every page turn. Can’t wait to read Book 2.-Amazon Review
About the Author
Nia Laurent writes emotionally tangled romance about people who love harder than they should—sharp banter, high stakes, and the kind of chemistry that makes “bad idea” feel inevitable.
She’s a digital nomad who started writing after realizing that life after college—and a soul-sucking job—doesn’t have to follow the script. These days, she writes wherever she lands: tucked-away cafés, hotel balconies, airport gates, and anywhere else a story can elbow its way to the surface. She collects overheard conversations, city skylines, and the tiny details most people miss—and turns them into characters who feel a little too real.
When she isn’t writing, she’s exploring new neighborhoods, hunting for the best coffee in town, people-watching shamelessly, and building friendships in every place she visits.
If you love romance with bite, heart, and a little beautiful chaos, you’re in the right place.
